Sutter Group is a full-service agency with nearly 30 years of experience. What began as a graphic design firm quickly burst into a world-class branding agency with all the capabilities of a creative production house. Services expanded to include mobile app development, e-learning, animated video, and more. Recently, Sutter Group expanded its digital marketing division to move toward more strategic services where more “big picture” ideas could be brought to the table.
Rooted in a brand-first approach, our agency stays on the cutting-edge with clients by always knowing about the latest marketing technologies. It’s our position that what agencies can bring to the table is an expertise in the latest tools of the trade. Knowing all the current trends, then sifting through which ones are the best fit for our clients (and knowing how to apply them on their behalf) is very important.
At this time, Sutter Group is looking to hire an Account Executive with first-hand experience in all digital marketing aspects, including: marketing strategy, email marketing, social media marketing, search engine optimization, pay per click advertising, and Google Analytics. The ideal candidate will also have strong copywriting and blog writing skills, and be able to support the marketing efforts of our agency as needed. For example, when RFPs come in, this person would help respond by being able to write copy for the proposal and addressing the needs within the request.
We would like to find an experienced Account Manager who can build and sustain strong relationships with current and prospective clients. This person must have a solid working knowledge of digital marketing tools, trends, and technologies, and know how to apply these to our client’s benefit. This person must also be a self-starter and take the time to gain an in-depth understanding of our clients’ industries and marketing goals.
In order to fulfill this role, this person will act as a “digital marketing generalist” in the sense that he/she will know how to execute each task, but will sometimes be supervising the person doing it. This will be the case for accounts where Sutter Group is responsible for their Google Adwords campaigns, and for accounts receiving our specialized SEO services. Almost all the social media creative services are executed by the person in this position, so there must be familiarity with both organic and paid social media tasks.
The clients in this portfolio are all mid-sized B2Bs and national associations or non-profits. The goal of this position is to not only service these clients well, but also uncover additional opportunities to provide work for them. Occasionally, this person will be asked for input on other client projects happening as well.

- Ongoing communication with clients
- Proposal writing
- Monitoring all live campaigns
- Supporting the agency as a whole with ideas
- Developing existing and future relationships with clients
- Keeping up with industry changes and news
- Making strategic recommendations to clients and the agency
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, digital media or similar
- Minimum of five (5) years of Account Management and/or Digital Marketing experience
- Project Management experience
- Client facing responsibilities
- Hands-on experience creating and managing paid creative campaigns
- Google Analytics certification a plus
- Must be an excellent writer
