Killing Kennedy in Parallax

National Geographic recently debuted their highly anticipated Docudrama “Killing Kennedy” to a network viewership record of 3.4 million viewers. To accompany the movie, National Geographic launched an interactive companion piece using HTML5 and featuring responsive, cross-platform parallax scrolling. The companion piece simultaneously tells the stories of John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald from childhood through Kennedy’s death, using hundreds of high definition pictures, graphics, and videos. The results are absolutely incredible, a truly captivating storytelling experience that blurs the lines between content mediums. Brands and designers take note, this is parallax done right.
